This was my first (ever) history book. Really enjoyed Dans writing and descriptions. I was a little put off by all the dates thrown in - I would never remember any of that day to day. Really interesting listen and looking forward to hearing more of Dans work (audible). A nice contrast to the usual comfort of fiction and fantasy for me. 🥰
