The whole ordeal wore him down. Angie says goodbye to Will for the final time. He keeps his neighbors dog instead of taking her to the pound since he’s from a foster home he couldn’t take her there. Nice last sentiment. When it picked up it was thrilling, didn’t feel as long-winded as her other books which was nice. I give it a 4*

Angie kills Michael and John and Will come in time to CPR the girl. Both live. Will and his sister confront Michael’s mom and argue that they’ll stop all charges against her if she’ll release a statement to clear John’s name. She agrees reluctantly after threats of Michael’s deathbed confession. This was a slow start and then for real interesting. I wish John had more initiative but obviously jail and

John won’t talk and will gets a call. Another cop goes to mikes house, the wife asked for security while she removes stuff from the house. The cop asks a neighbor where’s Mike and said he asked about the car in his driveway and that he backed the car up into the garage, closed the trunk and drove off. There was oil on the pavement (Angie’s car) Will gets John to say mikes addy. It’s getting intense now

Angie decides to try to get John to talk before Will takes him in. He refuses and passes out then arrested. Angie sneaks into Michael’s house sees a girl tied to the pool table and is presumably shot upon entering

John’s lawyers during his trial was Michael’s mom who seemingly did a deathbed confession to his own mom when she died. Will confronts Angie regarding John’s rap sheet. He wants to bring him in but she insists it’s strange that Michael never mentioned that the murders happening now have a strange similarity to the one from his teen years. She knows Mike knows John cuz he warned her about him

John meets w his sisters wife and sees all the evidence their mom had kept. his bite mark didn’t match the body, and she found an expert that thought the tongue was bitten off not severed (knife was their key evidence, expert said it was used and proved premeditation and was in his closet even tho his mom cut herself on the finger w it so it’s her blood, too small a sample) his mom worked even tho she was sick

Angie sees Michael’s wife has bruises. Finds out she left him and that he’s violent and been lying about where he’s been. When he slept w Angie it was so violent and she had bite marks (like the victims). She suggests a restraining order. Now, is John committing these murders in order to frame Michael (girl in mikes yard, calling cops on sec worker) is Michael doing them to frame John (credit Id) We shall see

I don’t get it. I mean it was the 80s and they were determined he was guilty but DNA? You really think his cousin has the wherewithal at 16 to frame John? And he knew for sure it was his cousin so he endured all that abuse for 20 years without ever saying he knew who it was.

Will thinks that Michael is not a thorough cop as he didn’t notice the sex workers room was cleaned. Later he gets call from the boy form before saying his sister is missing and that she was paid by a man to call the cops that the sex worker was hurt and what her mailbox was. He enters the room and notices it’s unlocked and something is off. He confronts Angie about sleeping w Michael

Will gets him impromptu visit from his PO and notices his room is a little off. Like whoever broke in left it purposefully. He saw the knife (from mikes house) and threw it out the window when she turned. She said he passed, will give a reference to move into a new apt and that she hopes that what he threw doesn’t follow him. She doesn’t like when shit cops try to frame her clients (dam w/o her he’d be a goner)
