- The Persian empire ruled from Greece to India from 550 - 330BC
- Alexander the Great of Macedonia conquered the Persians with battles of Issus and Guagamela around 330BC
- The Han dynasty of China, tired of paying tribute, went to war with the nomadic people of the west (Xiongnu) and conquered the land all the way to India around 119BC and formally establishing the Silk Road connecting the east to the west

Wilbur - At first the Romans left the Christians alone by emperor Trajan who advised tolerance. However, during the second century they persecuted the Christians and murdered thousands. Christianity was first spreading east via Jewish communities and untimely there was to be a large population in Persia. During the 3rd century they were deported which helped spread Christianity even more.
- during the early 4th century Constantine of Rome converted which really helped spread the adaptation of it. He also claimed to be the protector of Christians even beyond his territory which threatened the Persians and when he died unexpectedly before invading King shah of Persia killed a lot of Christians
