I'm 64% through this book and think you might like it. Back in the late 70's, I read a book about the serum race to Nome, Alaska, featuring Balto. It was a good book. This book, The Cruelest Miles, is fantastic. It's even more informative and tells the story of Togo, Leonhard Seppala, and the other heroic mushers and their heroic dog sled teams.
