I have now read a solid half the essays, mainly because I wanted to read the one on Gulliver’s travel. I regret doing so, cause he brought it into such a political light rather than the humorous, comic version I enjoyed. His essay ‘Politics and the english language’ was pretty good though. Made me think back on 1984 and the use euphemism.
