And it wouldn’t be a Meatbun novel without both the leads “dying” at least once*, so I am waiting for the other shoe to drop - one “death” already happened. Yes! I want to know? 😆 I need to know how chaotic it is! (this story I don't plan to read myself but am vicariously reading it with a friend lol)
Ahah here we go then xD this is a small summary of what has been happening… mind you this started as a university student having a crush on his older doctor:Xie Qingcheng, who now has superpowers, became a cop and infiltrated the island base of the villains while besieged by an army of robot dogs (he had to copy files from the control room of a deadly freezing ray weapon), luckily old Zheng (remember him? The cop friend of his parents) and two robots containing the consciousness of his deceased parents helped him. But then just as Xie Qingcheng and old Zheng were about to escape, He Yu and Zoya (new character, she invented the deadly freezing ray) descended from the sky on killer robot pegasi (that have shields and heavy weaponry) and took them hostage (He Yu works for the bad guys… OR DOES HE?!) Oh and Xie Qingcheng is half blind and actively dying and also now experiencing pregnancy symptoms. Don’t ask. This is a fever dream.

AND I skipped so much! (because idk where exactly vol 7 ended, I've been reading the MTL since the end of vol 6 :D). Meatbun's novels tend to get insane toward the end... but this is like nowhere near the finale yet xD And the weirdest thing is that, idk, within the story it all kinda does make sense and I am really enjoying myself xD But lowkey if aliens show up at this point I won't even bat an eyelash
