The Dreamers
A young veteran takes a job as an assistant for a mad scientist who is hellbent on dreams. Bit of an odd story, quite the stretch, tough read.

The Answer Man
Following the life a man who fights in Vietnam, has a child, loses his child, loses his wife loses himself. All while living with some confidence thanks to The Answer Man. I really enjoyed the journey of following the main character through his trials and tribulations. From hi twenties to his 80’s. Good fun.

Rattlesnake
A recently widowed retiree stays in the Keys, he makes a new friend in Allie, and evidently, her sons. This story is the journey a man ridding himself of a burden he didn’t know he had. Very insightful and intriguing. Edge of the seat fear in moments also.

A retired widow is gifted a puppy that may very well have saved his life from the swamp variant.
A story that was, for the most part, relatively bland. King’s writing kept me engaged. I enjoyed it - in a different way than usual.

The Turbulence Expert
This man on that plane is the only thing between it succumbing to turbulence, and it landing. Very interesting concept, one that wouldn’t hold up to story longer than a chapter.

Husband, detective, wife, grumpy. Menopause or alien invasion? Tentatively frightening

On Slide Inn Road
A family takes a “shortcut” down an old road where they get stuck, then in trouble. Very engaging, I wasn’t sure what was to happen next.

Finn
A young man with bad luck gets tortured for no good reason. His end isn’t explicitly defined in the story which opens it up to the reader’s interpretation, which I don’t like.
Unoriginal concept but a great execution. The ending did not hold up and let the story down.

Danny Coughlin’s Bad Dream
Geeze what a ride… a dream turns out to be real, but notifying the police lands Danny in hot water. Really engaging story with multiple characters with different perspectives and personalities. Even the very end felt as well considered as the rest of the story.
Thoroughly enjoyed!

The Fifth Step
Man meets another at a bench in Central Park. A conversation about sobriety takes a sharp twist at the end. Short, relatively dull, but engaging as ever.
Nothing to write home about.

Two Talented Bastids
Fun and light hearted. A nice posthumous perspective of a father’s *mysterious* rise as a famous author.
Definitely enjoyed it
