Male, ginger, tall, mildly religious, ignorant of the world ( in the afterlife), trusting, kind, honest, killed a guy, doesn't really regret killing that guy, willing to stand against even gods, protective of his family, very determined to achieve his goal.

In the story, Chet was captured by the god Veles and thrown into the arena with the rest of veles' slaves. Among those slaves he met Ado, an African man who lived to serve his god, and who had seen it as his duty to aid her in any way he could. Ado and Chet become friends, and Ado trains Chet in sword fighting in the waiting room of the arena, because he sees it as his obligation as his friend.

Distinguished- since the main character killed a guy, he is distinguished as a murderer in the underworld by a mark on his hand

Foreigner -main character is a foreigner to the whole being dead thing

Incident - the main character is killed by his own grandmother

Vengeance - the main character is looking for a way to restore an angels power so that the angel can kill his grandmother who is a lesser god so that his wife and unborn daughter don't get killed


Accommodation- before being murdered the main character was living with his grandma because he was a fugitive
