Ughhhhhhhhhh. I knew some painful shit was about to happen. This is such a rollercoaster. More than anything I feel for Talen cause it's clear whatever is going on takes a toll on him.

This is good, but it’s one of those books where you constantly feel like the other shoes about to drop. And it makes me so freaking anxious.

I'm slowly getting more and more into this story. I've read so many stories like this, though. Enemies to lovers is often the same. Dude is playing the part of the villain. I'd like to find something different. I mean, I do like this trope, I'd just like to see some other options than someone or both pretending to be baddies.

I really hope for a friendship with Beth. There's something I really like about her.

Why tf is she not practicing her magic when her life depends on it!? It makes no sense. She's just completely avoiding it.

Well, Talen is certainly making a great case for him being a villain.
