i really wanted to love this book but if i were to say at this moment that i did, it would be a lie 😔 powers writes extremely beautifully and delicately, and as a tree-enthusiast, i enjoy the MANY intimate descriptions of trees and foliage. but the pace is not entirely to my liking, and the perspective feels very… male-centric
