Goodman writes for people who really love to read. People who want to race through a 300-page romance where boy-meets-girl, crisis occurs & is resolved and then they live happily ever after will never have the "sit back and enjoy" patience to read her lengthy novels.
On another note, I am amused that Rhyne has sat on a tuffet at least twice now. I had no idea Miss Muffet did not exclusively own one. Ba, ha, ha!
