I thought the same thing on book 1, but it evolves indescribably as they go on. Book 3 especially is where it really starts to pop off, I was obsessed after that.

I love them, but you definitely have to open yourself up to very crude, "non-PC" humor. Takes a moment. As Christina says, there is so much character evolution, found family, etc. I hope you find some enjoyment in them! 😄
