Really good book. I had some annoyances with The Martian's style and backing philosophy, which gets kinda left in the background, but Weir definitely improved as a writer between books. I've seen people annoyed that Weir always writes the same style of protagonist, but I honestly have no issue with that, it's really common in sci-fi and fantasy. I'm looking forward to the movie now.
