I can see why people either love or hate this book. We (I?) generally like our memoirs with a little “oh gosh, little ole me writing a book” and that is not at all what Eggers is going. I felt like it alternated between cynical and idealistic with a little bit of arrogance to season, but it was a fabulous book.
