So many characters to keep track of right off the bat. Our narrator, Cathy— she’s envious of her mother, jealous of her new siblings, & idolizes her dad. Chris— the oldest, the smart & practical one. The twins, Cory & Carrie. Their dad (also called Chris) who dies in an accident in the first chapter. & Most baffling of all, their mother, Corrine, who is clearly hiding a lot from her children about her past.
