Such a good memoir on audio. I love how he’s so honest about the cruel tone he uses with his dad. It’s hard to hear - of course he knows his father can’t help his behavior - but people need to know it’s only human to be frustrated when watching a parent deteriorate.

This is a compelling audiobook. Very well written and perfect mix of memoir and science and social commentary. It kind of left a lump in my throat, though, to hear there’s no support for families taking care of a loved one with dementia. Why have we structured our society this way? Where there’s no question about finding a trillion dollar war here or there but no money for in home care.
