Dead in the Water is a total rollercoaster—tense, dark, and so claustrophobic that I found myself holding my breath more than once. The pacing is spot on, and just when you think you’ve figured it out, the rug gets pulled out from under you. The best part? The nod to The Good Samaritan! I absolutely obsessed over that book (it’s my favourite) so seeing it tied into this story was such a treat.
