It’s tough because I think there’s so many good nuggets and ideas, but then they expanded on or given attention in ways I think kind of waste them.

I think Jesse, I appreciate surprisingly and, along with Anna, the idea of being overshadowed by the elephant that is Kate’s cancer.

I find Sara frustrating as hell though. I get that it’s motherly love, but it’s too much that’s she’s so immature.

It did become a little more emotionally resonant and not nearly as frustrating as we see Sara slowly coming to acceptance.

Also more interesting moments with Kate and Taylor, was very sweet. Julia and Campbell’s relationship was great except for how typical romance it is and how they never address the elephant between them.

Otherwise, a bit repetitive on the central theme so it feels a bit preachy

I didn’t feel immersed by the characters as much as I felt I was just told straight up what the characters are about. Like they feel quite flat in that, for the scene, this is all they are. Also the huge focus on the big question again reduces the interestingness. But the characters themselves are interesting, I just don’t feel them.

Maybe I’m being uncharitable, but it does feel very constructed.
