“Although her grasp of Christian doctrine an innate practical wisdom were also clearly reasons for [her being a source of advice and consolation to so many], it was the godliness of her life, her width of compassion, and her deep concern for the progress of the kingdom of God that lay at the root of her influence.”

If you’re seeing this book on your feed and think, who on earth is that? I would implore you to find out.
Somehow lost to popular church history, she was the faithful friend & supporter of the Shepherds of her day. I was prompted to seek out her biography after reading Ryle’s Christian Leaders of the 18th Century. She was mentioned as instrumental in the salvation/ministry of nearly every Pastor Ryle covered.
