IM IN THIS BOOK AND I DON'T LIKE IT. but seriously though, i get what doc adams is trying to convey but 'incest' is an incredibly strong word to be using here. it's too strong of a word but at the same time it seems to be the only word to be able to even somewhat describe the dynamics he's writing about. however, i think some of what he's writing about is more 'attachment' stuff. it all seems to overlap quite deeply.

interesting... obviously the listed effects of being a victim of covert incest also apply to many other issues caused by emotional abuse and neglect, so i wonder if some people reading this book might struggle and say, "well my thoughts and feelings could also be a result of x, y, or z, too? not just the covert incest?" because like i said, the symptoms overlap other things A LOT
