Very interesting but deep/solid read thus far. Goes to show people are very complicated and that maybe, just maybe, mythologizing our history isn’t for the best. My stock on Jefferson (and Madison to a lesser extent) is lower than before and Jackson is becoming a much more interesting character than I already knew.
