I wonder if the Mom originally enforced the new law requiring all elites to wear masks so no one can look upon each other’s faces because she didn’t want to have to look at people with bruises all over her face from her husband.

I will say, I don’t usually struggle with reading whatever I want even after hard work days, but this book might change that. Heavy stuff.
