Incredible. The poem itself is great, but what’s truly impressive is how natural Kinbote’s running commentary reads. The “truth” of the narrative Kinbote smuggles ungracefully into the work feels like it’s swimming just beneath the ripples in silty water. The reader can make out the shape and rough colors, but the details remain tentative. I can’t wait to see where this goes.
