Also, I haven't watched season 2 yet, I saw maybe the first two episodes, but I must say I like it better that it starts in "modern" times. I discontinued the tv show because it made me too anxious, but the book made sure I know everything turned out fine first 😅

From my perspective, I binged the whole of season 1, there was all that horror with Black Jack Randall and Jamie, and continuing season 2 immediately threw us into a smallpox outbreak in France. Compared to that, the book starts out mysterious and quaint, and I expect we'll be spoon-fed the details of how Claire ended up back in her own time. It's definitely easier on my heart 😅
I'm sure there a plenty of people who get annoyed at hoe much gets switched around or left out of the show, but I personally agree with most of what they've done so far.
