It seems as if prayer can make you successful in ministry, I am not actually too sure abt saying this. The author is affirming we seek God’s face for who He is and not only for what His hands can give to us (I agree), but then it seems contradictory when he says things like: “Her prayer conferences have *attracted hundreds*. It all began when she learned to seek His face, not just his hands.”

I feel this book is better seen as an essay about what the author thinks* not a profound analysis of bible verses abt this topic, i think they’re far better books abt this topic

When we engage in the great privilege and joy of prayer with a "leftovers" mentality, the likelihood of spiritual blessing is slight. pag 70
again, all that I hear is conditioning prayer, God Will answer me only if I pray in a certain "perfect" way, which Is nowhere found in the bible (the author doesn't cite bible verses when he says this kind of bold statements) 🙃, more red flags in the rest of the chapter

I don’t know man, something feels off, I believe the focus shouldn’t be on us when we pray,I think the power of our transformation is not in the prayers themselves, but in The One who answers our prayers (I’m really struggling to understand the author)
