I wish Mr. King had chosen a more readable name for his main character, Lisey. The narrator explains early on how to pronounce her name properly, not grammatically, but I find myself still mispronouncing her name in my head over and over, as I would stumble over a Russian novel's characters. Other than that, it's typical Stephen King. Excellent start.
