Maybe I was a bit harsh on Misery. This a reversal of the trope where the guy is all cold and angsty and the girl is friendly and good with kids. My bad

Misery low key sucks. I’m still holding out hope that this is fun bad

Ali’s modern pop-culture kind of writing style really doesn’t mesh with a darker fantasy/supernatural plot line.

The prologue and first chapter were ass, but now that the two MCs are interacting, I can see this being better.
