Tired trope: Angry mother stretched thin with financial worries is assigned with Villain status . It’s complicated because she also slut shames and is racist .
Tired trope: the hero character, among so many interesting women, is a teen boy. His character instead should be eldest daughter I believe. Women readers are supposed to want to hug and nourish him—- yawn
