I'm starting to see it.
The first "book", was a struggle. Struggle is really the best word for it. Along from the length, there's the repetitiveness, there's the ancient vocabulary, the extremely distant writing style. Half the time, my mind is blank as I read, and I have to reread sections.
However, something happens 1/3rd in. And man... I think I'm getting it, really. I knew coming back to this was a good idea

This book is taking me months to finish, but we keep moving slowly.
After a decent twist, I was starting to get into this more. But man, this shit is long, and this shit is dry, and even if I know some of it is good, it's easily the most difficult the reading has been so far on the Great Fantasy Reading Challenge.
Hopefully the last third is quality!
