Outdated in its view of women. The party where a young boy is being taken advantage of by an adult woman is almost handled well, but still with too much responsibility on the minor.

Good world building. Stale characters. Decent plot, but difficult for me to feel invested.

Hm. I think I'll finish. I'm not impressed with the female characters, but I'm not that impressed with the male characters either. the world building is interesting. The plot seems thin. the romantic chemistry is meager. too much exposition. but some interesting vignettes.
