This feels like reading a 19th-century British novel set in future-space, I have decided. This is neither a positive nor a negative.

Stupid to read two space books at once, but they are in different leagues when measured by the subtlety and deliberation of their stories.

Very confusing I kept wondering why their colors did not matter.

I just do not know what to do with this woke sci-fi where they take the opportunity of worldbuilding to play around with some genderbending. At the same time, I appreciate the inclusion of interplanetary cultural considerations.
