I'm able to calculate my pages from keeping my real chapter stops up w/ a free Kindle Unlimited edition of the book, looking at the % read, then calculating that % of 882 pages. Seems legit. I've only just started; on chapter 5. At least the KU edition is also allowing me to highlight some things, but in retrospect.

I last read this in 2005. Re-reading in prep for reading Demon Copperhead this year. My edition is a wonderful Broadview book, and it only has 437 pages - it's printed in columns, like it was in the papers originally, and it has black and white ink (but resembling print) illustrations that might be from the original paper runs as well.
