The description of this story does not do justice to the characters separated by war and sharing their own stories through their letters. I was a little concerned it would be a retelling of Cyrano de Bergerac but, thankfully, it is nothing of the sort.

As the daughter of someone who was a soldier in WWll I am feeling a great connection to the characters. I picture my parents living life both on the home front and at war while connecting with each other in the only way possible, through their letters.
