Mosscap is just as committed as Dex, but differently; they want to understand humans and stay by Dex’s side. I really like how Mosscap asks simple, direct questions, which makes it and Dex different in some ways. Mosscap makes normal human behavior seem strange and makes me think more about why we act the way we do. It also reminded me that people are more than what they look like, which I think is really meaningful.

After finishing the book, I realized that post-transition, the people living on Penga had a drastically different life from people just like us. They cared way more about the whole envrionement which is exactly different from today. I think this is also a reason why Penga is a utopia. I think the author is trying to express that we should slow down our pace and care for those around us, like nature, similar to Dex.

Through Dex and Mosscap's coexistence, I saw Mosscap’s curiosity about Dex’s past contrasts with Dex’s emotions, showing different ways of facing life. It makes me think about appreciating small moments and relationships rather than always chasing goals. The story also suggests and teaches me that lots of times, true value comes from simply living and connecting, but not from grades or achievements.

I can tell Dex's confusion by kept standing and sitting back down while they walk with Mosscap. Also, I found that it is still available for Dex to give orders to Mosscap, which is weird because robots left because they don't want to serve humans anymore. Combining with the facts that Mosscap is slow at math and things a normal robot would be "good" at, I doubt that it has a difference with other robots that existed

As Dex meets the robot, I'm surprised that a robot could create a relationship with nature, for example, the robot's name, Mosscap, is from the first mushroom it met. Also, Dex and the robots' conversation had shown that Mosscap still has the "setting" to serve human beings, while all the robots left because they no longer want to serve humans. It made me curious about the difference and maybe the secret of Mosscap.

Dex quitting and starting a brand new life is risky, and I wonder if I have the same courage as they do. They tried to be a tea monk, but then failed in their first service. I'm impressed by them because, even though they did a terrible job, they didn't go back to the city, where everything is just perfect, but kept exploring the wilderness instead. I'm excited about how much Dex could discover in the wilderness.
