By moments I was "yes here we got something" and all her analysis of the original sense of "tolerance" is really interesting and how precarious these rights are (just see the US election) but oh God why being so confusing? Why did she expand so much on choice vs born this way? It ould have been a great article or even a good book had it been edited. You can't really see where she is going..

Her reflexion on tolerance is really interesting. If you tolerate something that means a negative reaction is bound to happen at some points. It reminds me of these people saying they are not homophobic as long as it stays in the bedroom
