It’s playing out almost exactly scene by scene with the tv show so far. I absolutely love the depth and full-bodied experience of the show compared to the book. I watched the show first and it has subtle facial expressions and pauses between dialogue that add more to the story and bring it to life compared to the book which feels a little flat in comparison -I would consider it more script-like so far.
