I started this cuz I thought it would be sick to read a foundational scifi piece about aliens… but holy shit this is some literature.

If you have a copy I beg of you to read pages 80-86 or the chapter “June 2001” if you’re in a different edition. The scathing analysis of the American capitalist worldview and the articulation against war and colonialism that he wrote all the way back in 1945 is astounding
