I’m excited to read this. When I got it for school I initially was skeptical (“why would we need a biography of Paul when we have the Bible?”) but I get it now. The first chapter talked about what Paul’s childhood training to be a Pharisee would have looked like. That is the sort of information that genuinely adds to my appreciation of the Bible, and is exactly what makes this type of book worthwhile.
