~When you swallow your pain,it never does digest.I suspect untreated pain curdles in your blood&changes your code.It sinks into the bone,blisters to the surface&then it presents as diabetes,alcoholism,depression,obsessive compulsiveness or cancer.Or that is how it looks in my family.My fathers & his fathers pain,likely became my own unease&obsession.In changing his own DNA,he changed mine~

Learning about the cautionary tale/warning for the black community to not go outside at night; lest they get captured by the “night doctor”,which was when people were paid to capture black individuals walking around at night,take them to the asylum&GET PAID $25 PER PATIENTS BROUGHT IN!&the asylum to prison pipeline is atrocious.Patients left in bare,white rooms in solitary cells

Hearing about the lynching of Matthew Williams & George Armwood is heartbreaking… I somehow never knew about the racist past of the eastern shore & Sailsbury & Princess Anne’s… mob mentality & getting away with literal torture & murder. Just for white people to be able to say “We STILL own you - your job perspectives, your narrative, your wages, your life!” Infuriating & vile

I have hardly started this one and I’m already LIVID&DISGUSTED with the scientific racism& made up ailments that “Dr.” Samuel Cartwright coined…like Drapetomania, which was the belief that “slavery was beneficial and only an insane African American would run away.” The cure? Severe whippings and amputations of toes so they could not actually escape. DISGUSTING. I HATE racists
