Rachel & Kerry reconnect and get back together. In current day they are married and have a kid. Dini reaches out to talk to Rachel. She tells her Dr. Burn got a brain infection. She has realized that Rachel was telling the truth and didn’t sleep with her husband. Rachel comes clean and gives her James’s info.

James reveals that he is moving to New York for an internship with a late night tv show. Rachel moves to London and works in a bookshop. She becomes a journalist and does a lot of reporting on Irish abortion issues. She gets carpel tunnel from typing and goes to physical therapy, Kerry is her doctor

Rachel has a miscarriage. she gets fired from her job. Kerry surprises her at her graduation and she tells him about the pregnancy. They break up. she and james are on bad terms. she gets a new job at a bar

Rachel decides to get an abortion. She goes to the dinner party at Dini & Dr. Burn’s house, and they are both surprised to see her. Dr. Burn told Dini that he had been cheating on her with Rachel instead of James. Rachel gets $2000 from them to cover her abortion expenses

james & dr. burn end their relationship. james starts working on a film/tv script based on their lives called Discs. He wants him & Rachel to move to London. Rachel & Kerry are relatively happy, although he still has a habit of disappearing. James takes Rachel with him to come out to his mom. He tells Rachel he was abused as a child

rachel gets a job working for Dr. Burn’s wife, Dini. She rekindles her relationship with Kerry. Her teenage brother Christ shows up at her apartment one night high on methadone and Kerry helps her handle it

rachel gets involved with a guy from Derry named Kerry. he doesn’t seem interested in rachel beyond hooking up and often disappears for days at a time. rachel is in love with him and is distraught over
their relationship and pushes schoolwork aside. she goes off on Dr. Burn when he tries to dock points from her final essay

james & rachel see dr. burn and his wife dini and a bar show one night and james gives dr. burn their address. he comes to see james the next day

james & rachel concoct a book launch event at the bookstore after rachel panickedly tells Dr. Burn that there has been a high demand for his upcoming book. the two plot for rachel to seduce Dr. Burn, but on the night of the book launch rachel catches james hooking up with him in the stock room

rachel works at a bookstore during college, she meets her james there and they decide to be roommates. james is obsessed with the details of rachel’s class & how it has affected her life. rachel’s family were once well off but the stock market crash has left them basically broke. rachel’s english professor is a big deal around campus. he adds her to one of his exclusive seminars. she sees him at work soon after
