I’m sad to report the kindergarten level hanzi as magical powers is kinda off putting cuz the Ancestors word for fruit is just the modern word for fruit

I'll read a bit more to make a definitive call. I just feel like people are overly impressed by some authors listing flowers and fruits. And tbh the princes in this book have the words "knife" and "fruit" tattoo'd on their faces from birth... which is hillarious but in a sad way.
