i’m enjoying this book so far! she definitely makes teenage decisions but what can you expect from a 17 year old? it’s been a smooth read and i can see myself finishing this by tomorrow night like i plan to.

I actually had more to say about the repetition, also saying “my hair is my dearest physical possession” twice in 30 pages is a lot. the exact same words. like DUH again you’re Medusa! idk. maybe i’m just being crabby lol.

So far i can tell it’s not an easy read as far as the mythology part but it’s not as difficult as red rising was (just because this is not my norm genre anymore so it feels foreign). I do feel slightly irritated at how repetitive the book already feels on page 30, why have you told me 5 times your mom looks so young like an older sister? duh, she’s immortal!
