Honestly, I’m still missing Andrea Parsneau a bit. She really set the bar.

Erin Bennett is definitely growing on me though. With this many characters and different species to juggle, it’s a massive undertaking, and she’s holding it together well. I just wish she’d bring a bit more gravitas to Flos Reimarch. He needs that weight and presence behind him.

P.S. I’m with you on Erin Solstice too. She’s improving, but wow, she was genuinely hard to deal with in the earlier books. Very grating.

Ooohhh you made great points, friend!! I miss Andrea as well but these books are dense. I think third times the charm for Erin Bennett. I already bought the next book, so cross your phalanges that it's good..
But my true passion is how Erin Solstice is ridiculous 🙄... her whole "bad or good" stance is getting on my nerves 😒 ai hate how she judges others for having sex or smoking. Part of me wishes Toren had killed her. You can't be open minded and judge people at the same time. I read a review that mentioned she might be a "born again" which would make a lot of sense. I loved how she fought with the goblins... and I might've cried SUPER hard at the end of the war. I feel she is displaying the "I'm a genius but lack common sense" ... character troupe... and I don't have time for it.
Bird and Numb tongue are my favorite characters. Plus, I really like Ryoka's journey. And according to Google there's close 3k characters in the series.. that's a lot of voices. Let me know what you think once book 18 comes out.
