guys i just ordered romeo and juliet online yesterday and i am so excited to read it so i can see just how bad it is. (hoping i’ll enjoy the writing style but ped*philia is inexcusable) i got a really pretty cover 🥹. i’ll be annotating!! how fun 💖💖

omggg!!! 💟💟💟 so exciting! yes exactly!! i had to read it for middle school and enjoyed Shakespeare’s writing style but yup! like you said bb it’s inexcusable. 😒

Aww good luck I hated that book so much 💖 (Romeo being a manipulative creep aside, the plot is nonexistent and boring AF and why this was the classic Shakespeare play everyone picked to remember is lost on me)
Happy reading, Cyd! Yeah Romeo and Juliet is not my favorite of Shakespeare’s plays mainly because of the same reasons you listed but also it’s just very boring too. Anyway hope you enjoy reading it!
