Halfway check in! We’re a little further than 50% but this book is as amazing as I expected it to be, better even. How do we make our death matter? Does it matter at all? Is “mattering” only defined through empire and nationalism? I don’t know, but this book is holding my hand and saying “let’s explore this together”

Double consciousness and then the mirrors…I’m in tears. this book gets it, really gets it. I love this conversation. I have no words. What a book.

“To say no to a new day would be unthinkable. So each morning you said yes, then stepped into the consequence.” Damn. So far reading this book is so…how do I describe it?
It’s just interesting, after studying playwriting. I see the characters as the author talking to himself, arguing with himself. But they’re also us. Idk. It sits with me. It’s like this is how I think too
