It is so beautiful, so transcendent; it has to be one of the finest, if not the finest examples of weird fiction. It’s that rarerst kind of book that makes me feel as if I’ve accidentally stumbled into a whole other world that’s always been near, remaining invisible… There are so many things I don’t understand in this novel, but it doesn’t in the slightest detract from my enjoyment of it.
