Mitosis - no rating - I haven't read anything in the Reckoners series, and this short story didn't convince me that I need to read the series. Enemy had an interesting power, but the way the enemy was defeated felt underwhelming.

Firstborn - 3 stars - This is very early Brandon Sanderson and you can tell. It could do with a rewrite.

Defending Elysium - 4 stars - I can't imagine trying to read this before reading the entire Skyward series. I also can't believe that this was written first before the books in the series. No wonder people were saying this made no sense.

Perfect State - 4 stars - the postscript added a lot of helpful context to the story, bumped the rating up one star

Probability Approaching Zero - no rating - I just don't enjoy flash fiction. I want to know what is actually going on in a world.

Dreamer - 2 stars - had no idea what was going on until the postscript

Snapshot - 5 stars
