It's my first time around. It's Megan who has done this to me. She could sympathize with my "leaving Cornwall" depression! I've never watched it, and I know nothing about it, other than I've seen that man's face, on the cover of the series, over and over again, through the years!

I made the mistake of watching about half the PBS series… I’m sure the books are better but that I bland the actor playing Ross… too swoon-worthy to stop… 😉

Heidi,I am going to try to read the books for as long as possible, without watching the series (yet), but here's my question: will my teen-aged daughters like the series or are they going to be rolling their eyes at me? (They did watch "Downton Abbey" with me, and half of "Doc Martin").
