It is just tragedy after tragedy I don’t know how they continue on. Laia, desperate to find answers to take down the night bringer goes to the kehanni only for her to be killed before she can tell her story, whispers on the last breath to go to the great library and then it gets burnt down. Oh it’s all happening. Laia is trying to take down the nightbringer while Darin tries to make Derrick steel to arm the scholars. And musa is a mysterious new addition. Helene is trying to take down Keris and save the empire and Elias is battling the world of the dead and navigate his role as soul catcher while wildly underprepared. I love this also kind of like the individual arcs they’re all going on
