not sure if I'm gonna like the motivation/prompt for this plot - i mean, if it was me, I couldn't care less if my knowingly absent father wanted to make amends when announcing his retirement and his PR team thought my life was a PR nightmare and a problem for his reputation. I would've send him packing. Why are this incredibly independent woman letting herself be shamed for her own life?!
